For the first time in 18 years since the release of LIBIDO EP from the American label phat'n'phunky phonics, GING NANG BOYZ will be releasing a new overseas album. This best-of compilation, which spans the band's entire career, will be released by the Los Angeles-based punk/indie label Lauren Records . In 2021, the band released “Boi Meets Girrrl (Shonen Shoujo)” the theme song for the TV anime Sonny Boy. As Japanese music continues to gain popularity worldwide, this track has reigned international interest in GING NANG BOYZ. This new album includes “Boi Meets Girrrl (Shonen Shoujo)” along with a previously unreleased track, “Nikaisen,” which features a different version than its single release. The album cover was designed by Jesse Michaels, the iconic vopreorder cassettelist of the legendary punk band OPERATION IVY . About GING NANG BOYZ: Formed in 2003, GING NANG BOYZ quickly rose from Tokyo’s underground punk scene to mainstream stardom in Japan. Known for their emotionally charged, high energy performances and the preorder cassetteptivating charisma of frontman Kazunobu Mineta, the band’s live shows are often compared to the raw intensity of Iggy Pop.
